This newsletter features some of the things that I’m reading right now about my favourite topics (clue is in the title…), as well as general development, security and foreign policy.

Luckily for me, I get to read a lot as part of my day job(s): as Professor in Development Politics at the University of Birmingham, as Senior Research Fellow (Governance & Conflict) at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and as Director of the new Serious Organised Crime & Anti-Corruption Evidence (SOC ACE) research programme.

While mostly covering research and other non-fiction, some fiction might slip in here too. There’s even a ‘Just for Fun’ section, because no one can read about conflict, corruption and (organised) crime as much as I do without needing a break…
